Environment and Enforcement
A team of Neighbourhood Wardens have been recruited to provide an enhanced unfied enforcement service in relation to anti-social behaviour that includes a 24 hour hotline. The project also aims to improve the appearance of the area by reducing litter and dog fouling, tipping, vehicle abandonment, graffiti and by undertaking small scale landscape improvements etc.
Community Pride- District wide
An environmental improvement project including training and employment for long term unemployed people, helping people back into employment and improving the environment. Benefits include environmental improvements and enhanced community safety.
BTCV Environmental Conservation
This project provides diversionary activities for convicted youth offenders by carrying out environmental improvements as part of their reparation orders.
Neighbourhood Environment Improvement Schemes
This project involves the purchase and demolition of a building in Sharlston prior to it being redeveloped into a public space. Consultation with the community and a range of engagement activities will ensure that everyone has a say in the final design of the project.
