The Young Peoples Conference was held at Wakefield College on 16 September - the event was held to provide an opportunity for young people to engage with the Wakefield District Partnership on the future of the District.

The conference brought together 50 young people from across the District to put their views forward on and to say what Wakefield should be like in 25 years time.

Participants at the conference worked in small groups with members of the Wakefield District Partnership to state their priorities for action under each of the 5 Challenge Areas of the Community Strategy.

The conference was fairly unique in that young people from the Involving Young People Group have planned this conference and facilitated the discussion groups.
