Positively Ageing  - developing a strategy for an older population

Wakefield Together is in the process of developing a strategy which is designed to promote the present and future wellbeing of people aged 50 and over between 2008 and 2013.

Through this strategy we are aiming to put people aged 50 and over at the heart of the District's 25 year vision of improving quality of life by making it healthier, safer, stronger and with a dynamic local economy.

The consultation process is now open. A Pre-Strategy Consultation Framework has been produced to provide more details regarding the nature and purpose of the strategy and an opportunity for people to comment upon what is being proposed.
