Help Using This Website

Finding What You Want

Navigation links

Use the links on the left of the page to find content by category.

The main Partnership Themes and Priorities can be accessed from the links at the top of each page.

Search

Enter a word into the search box on any page to search for pages on this site that relate to your search term.

Click the 'Advanced Search' link under the search box to perform a more specific search using more search options.

Print Version

Clicking the 'Print Version' link opens the current page without the coloured heading bar and navigation bars allowing you to print just the contents of the page. This uses less ink/paper and is usually much quicker than printing the 'whole' web page.

Downloads

On some pages you can download files relating to the page you are reading, these appear in the 'Related Downloads' panel. Depending on the software used to create the download file and the software you have available you may need to install a file viewer on your machine. The table below describes the common file types we use and what you need to view them:

File Type Opens With
Word Document (ends with ".doc") Microsoft Word or Microsoft Word Viewer
Portable Document File (ends with ".pdf") Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Acrobat Reader. (*see below for more information)
Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet (ends with ".xls") Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Excel Viewer
Powerpoint Presentation (ends with ".ppt") Microsoft Powerpoint
Sound files (ends with ".wav" or ".mp3") Windows Media Player or other popular multimedia players.
Video Files (ends with ".mpg") Windows Media Player or other popular multimedia players.

*PDF documents may not be readily accessible to screen readers and may not be formatted for visually impaired users. The following tools can be used to convert PDF documents into plain text or plain HTML documents. You can translate a PDF into a text only or plain HTML by using a script or sending a file as an attachment.

Adobe Conversion Script
Go to the following URL and type in the URL of any PDF, the document will be converted into a text only HTML document.
Conversion:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/access_onlinetools.html

An acrobat access plugin is also available from : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/5efe.htm

Increasing the size of the text

If you have difficulty reading the text on our website, you may want to increase text size. This can be done easily by changing a setting on your internet browser:-

  • Internet Explorer users should click View > Text Size > ...  and select from the options
  • Netscape users should click View > Increase Font

Text Only

The 'Text Only' feature (at the top left of each web page) allows you to view any page without graphics or extra formatting.

This feature is particularly useful to visually impaired visitors who often use screen reading software to have web pages 'read' to them.  It's also helpful if you have a slow internet connection because loading pages without graphics is much quicker.
